• Check the log file to see when your image finishes
• Max image size: 2 GB
• A template wiki page will be created if it doesn't exist
  • If it does: the image links will be appended
  • See log file for link

This is an older / advanced mode where the image is fetched from an external website by editing the table below. It was generally discontinued as most users can't easily/reliably provide a direct file link

Instructions:

• Edit page (directly or using table editor)
• Add your username to the first column
• Add a URL that links directly to a jgp file to be imported
  • It must be able to be directly fetched (think wget) via the URL
  • Ex: google drive gives an HTML page, not the file, which won't work
  • Or at least without getting creative: https://www.labnol.org/internet/direct-links-for-google-drive/28356/
• Save the page
• Refresh the page after 5 seconds
• Status should now say “Pending”
• Refresh the page as you impatiently wait, or see the log file below for details
• Hopefully it will say “Completed” after a few minutes

TODO:

• Link .jpg and map in table once done
• Spit out wiki template here
  • For now grab from log file if you want it
• Support importing .tar w/ meta .json
  • These are rare, contact me to add directly
• Implement lock
  • If you edit while processing your edit may be lost
• What to do when an image already exists?
  • Right now it will generate a “Collision” error and abort
  • You can work around by adding a suffix if you want it to force generating a new one
  • Reach out to admin (mcmaster) if you need to resolve a bad upload
