Die cleaning
Suppliers
Hardware store is fine for general rinsing but tends not to be optical quality when preparing a sample for imaging. This is usually seen as streaks or small particles on the die.
DudaDiesel sells acetone that is sufficiently pure to clean dies for imaging (XXX: much better than hardware store but not clean enough. Rinse with distilled water)
Purity
Some problems during cleaning found traced to non-volatile residue. Question: what does it take to get acetone with very low non-volatile residue for cleaning? Alternatively, can I get another volatile compound, say IPA, that leaves less volatile residue?
